Dance

I started dancing at the age of three.
Inspired by different dancers and ballet teachers in younger age, I decided to go the most beautiful but hard way to let myself be educated as a professional dancer, choreographer and teacher at the School of Fine Arts, Music and Dance Heidelberg-Mannheim in Germany.
A scholarship brought me to schools in New York to gain additional experiences in Jazz, Modern and Contemporary Dance (Alvin Ailey's, Matt Mattox and Luigi's Dance Center).
For several years I had my own ballet studio in Germany, in addition to actively performing on stage.
Following my husband on his assignments abroad I continued to learn, dance, teach and choreograph in many countries.
A particularly amazing experience was working with dancers of the Classical and Contemporary National Companies in Cuba, where I lived from 2003 to 2007.
Exposure to new rythms and encounters in life, notably in poorer countries where they reflect the difficult circumstances under which people live and survive, not only exert a profound impact on me but also inspire me to create.
As a result of these experiences I moved from classical and modern dance more into the field of Contempory Dance which I sometimes call as well 'Intelligent Dance'.
It is here where one can employ all kinds of tools and technics so that form and content better correspond to and reinforce the message one wants to give and the artistic contribution one wants to make.
